Costume completed – Jan. 18, 2010

Vampire Knight has to be one of my favorite shoujo mangas. I chose Yuki mainly because she's the main protagonist and she's not one of those whiny female leads. She's a strong character and I loved her even more after her transformation into a vampire. I also am a huge supporter of Yuuki x Zero. ^^

White Top, Jacket, Skirt, Necklace, Bracelet - These items were all bought from a seller on e-bay. The name of the seller was dream-cosplay. My only minor intervention in this was hiding the front zipper more.

Armband – I didn't like the armband that came with the costume because I felt that it was too wide and that the color should have been a deeper, darker red. I made this by using white material and using an iron-on transfer for the symbol. In the progress photos, you can find the .jpg file that I made by scanning the armband that came with the costume.

Ribbon - I made this using a maroon material.

Socks & Shoes - These were purchased off of e-bay.

Wig - I used the Willow wig in the color 6 bought from Cosworx.

Bloody Rose Gun - The base of this gun was bought from an online Japanese airsoft gun website. The model name of the gun is the Automag III. The brown hilt of the gun was made using model magic. I was able to connect the chain to the gun by means of using a thin wire tied to a small safety pin. The safety pin fit in a small hole on top of the mag that fit inside the gun. The writing on the gun was written by pencil.
